I Love Blackpool Pleasure Beach

By | September 10, 2016

I Love Blackpool Pleasure Beach, the ambience is so nostalgic and iconic, I really wish I lived closer as it is my favourite theme park by far, and so much more reasonably priced than other theme parks.

This year the boys manned up and rode The Big One, you really need to prepare yourself for the first drop which boasts an incline angle of 65 degrees and at speeds of up to 87mph this roller coaster is an experience like no other! and they absolutely loved it, a little tip if riding this coaster, take your hat off, Elijah’s hat flew off just as they made the scary descent at  235ft.

Elijah’s favourite ride is Sky Force located in the shadow of The Big One this 72ft high, 12-seat white-knuckle ride takes you on a 360-degree tour of the skies.

I find the way the new and old rides are all intertwined really amazing, sometimes its hard to work out exactly which ride is which, the location of the rides has been really well designed.

Both boys really enjoyed Infusion It was another first for Elijah, as you can see by the look on his face he was terrified 🙂

Opened in 2007 get ready for an exhilarating infusion of the elements, soar to amazing heights. Infusion is a whirlwind experience that will amaze and astound the senses.

Another firm favourite of both boys was the Go-Karts the queues were really small so they went on 3 times.

Even though the park was quite busy by purchasing a Speedy Pass we also managed to ride Alpine Rallye Derby Racer Dodgems Flying Machines Ghost Train Avalanche Grand National Wild Mouse and of course the iconic Big Dipper

Even though they are a little old for Nickelodeon Land we still had to visit for the Avatar- Air Bender

And the Nickelodeon Streak

We had a fantastic day, and managed to ride so many of the attractions, we also managed to partake in lots of my favourite pastime – eating. We purchased the All you can eat wristbands prior to our visit, which cost £20 per adult £15 per child, by buying these wristbands in advance we were able to budget for the day. There are several outlets where you can you the wristband, my favourite is the Ice Lounge which serves a range of sandwiches and yummy cakes.

We also visited The Plaice and the Beach Burger, as we always purchase the wristbands, in the past we have visited Coasters Diner that serves Old El Paso fajitas, chilli and wraps as well as a mix of American family classics. We have also visited the Big Pizza Kitchen where you can get all you can eat pizza, pasta and soft drinks.

Sadly due to the distance, this will be my only visit to the Pleasure Beach this year, hopefully we will visit again next year, I don’t think I could ever fall out of love with this place, as it holds so many memories of visits with my parents as a child, I would recommend a visit for people of all ages, there really is so much to do 🙂

The boys had a fantastic day (even if they did forget to tell their faces)

Been to Blackpool but not to the actual rides of the Pleasure Beach, for the pictures it looks like they had a great time! Mine are too little I think to enjoy those type of rides, but we’ll be looking forward to give it a try in the future. 🙂
